He served in the Vietnam War and retired at the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base as a Master Sergeant. After retirement, at age 37, Larry took pride in being a chef. He cooked at various places until he found his home at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, where he met close friends, Bob and Kevin. Larry absolutely loved shooting pool and was a winning pool league shooter. During his life, he was on many leagues and even went to Las Vegas with his team.
In earlier years, he loved traveling, dancing, fishing, camping, and many other outdoor activities with his family and friends, including getting oysters from the creek in Murrells Inlet.
